Application instructions for garden plants

Learn how to use nematodes to keep your garden plants healthy and pest-free

Step 1

Preparation

Good preparation is essential for the best results.

  • Lightly moisten the potting soil before you begin
  • Use lukewarm water (not hot)
  • Do not use chemical pesticides before, during, or after the treatment
  • Make sure the soil is moist, but not soaking wet. Nematodes move actively through moist soil.
  • Apply in the early morning or evening to avoid direct sunlight and heat

Step 2

Prepare the base solution

Dissolve the entire package of nematodes in 1 liter of water.

  • Stir the mixture gently but thoroughly
  • Ensure the nematodes are evenly distributed
  • Let the solution sit for a few minutes

Always use the full package per treatment. Storing partial packages is not recommended, as nematodes are living organisms.

Step 3

Dilution and Application

Dilute the base solution with the amount of water needed to treat the affected area.

  • Apply approximately 1 liter of solution per 1–2 m²
  • Evenly distribute the solution over the soil or lawn.
  • Water the treated area lightly after application to help the nematodes move into the soil
  • Use a watering can or sprayer without a fine filter to prevent clogging

Step 4

Aftercare and Reapplication

After application, it is important that the nematodes remain active.

  • Keep the soil lightly moist for at least two weeks
  • Water regularly, especially during dry or warm periods
  • Avoid direct sunlight during application and shortly after
  • Do not use chemical treatments
  • Results are typically visible within 1 to 2 weeks

In case of a persistent infestation, the treatment can be repeated after a few weeks.
